Hosting an outdoor event in Texas can be a huge risk. Between the heat, the rain, and the ever changing humidity, it’s hard to predict what the day will hold! Instead, how about finding a way to bring the outdoors in?
Lauren Scott of Lauren Scott Events did just that with her rustic, garden-inspired tablescape. Using natural floral and decor elements, Lauren was able to provide the feeling of “dining al fresco” within the comforts of our Horizon Ballroom. (All Photos by Tracy Autem Photography)
Using chairs and linens from Grand Events, Lauren created the perfect head table for any outdoorsy Bride and Groom. Subtle bird elements were carried throughout the design, adding a cohesiveness among the different decor elements. Small birds sat among the floral collections, the flatware was presented in a small canvas bag with a feather design, and the decorative plates sat atop a “nest” vine charger. Small twigs in the floral arrangements and on each place card helped bring nature to every detail.
Mixing colors and textures, as well as formal and rustic elements, really brings dimension to this elegant tablescape and shows the endless options available to brides, grooms, and party hosts alike!
